Terminal

Terminal is a macOS application that allows users to interact with the operating system through text-based commands.

The Terminal application is pre-installed on macOS.

The Terminal can be opened in multiple ways.

Open with Spotlight​

  1. Press the Command ⌘ + Space keys simultaneously.
  2. Search for Terminal.
  3. Open it by pressing the Return ⏎ key.

Open with Finder​

  1. Open the Finder application.
  2. Navigate to the Applications folder.
  3. Navigate to the Utitilities folder.
  4. Find the Terminal.
  5. Open it by double clicking.
