Devices
Abra Desktop automatically detects physical and virtual Android and iOS devices.
Before devices can be detected, you have to provide paths to some command-line tools.
Connect device

The minimum supported Android version is 8 (API level 26).
Setup Android paths
First, configure your Android paths.
Setup Android device
The developer options must be enabled on your device to allow Abra Desktop to detect it.
- Open the
Settings
app. - Open the
About this phone
section. The exact name can differ based on Android version and vendor of your phone. - Find the
Build number
information, it is usually located in theSoftware information
section. - Tap the
Build number
7 times to become a developer (congratulations!). - Navigate back to the main Settings menu.
- Open the new
Developer options
section. - Enable the
USB debugging
toggle. - Disconnect your Android device, and reconnect it.
- Refresh the Device dropdown in Abra Desktop. It should now include your Android device.

The minimum supported iOS version is 17.0.
Setup iOS paths
First, configure your iOS paths.
Setup iOS device
- Use a cable to connect your device to your Mac.
- Unlock your device.
- On your Mac, open a new
Finder
window. - Select your device in
Finder
and clickTrust
. - On your device, tap
Trust
in the alert dialog. - Refresh the Device dropdown in Abra Desktop. It should now include your iO device.

To run tests on iOS devices, resigning is required.
Setup iOS simulator
No additional setup is required for iOS simulators.
Device not listed?
If your device is not listed, please double check if your device is connected by checking if it's charging.
If you are sure your device is properly connected, please create a support ticket.
